Hi, I'm Matt Williamson.
My construction career kicked off learning the ropes at a small outfit called Darco Contracting, where I picked up a diverse set of skills from Dave Roberts. When Dave eventually had to close up shop, I decided to venture out on my own. I didn't know exactly what the future held back then, but looking back now, it's amazing to see how many years have flown by.
Since founding Matts Island Construction in 2013, I've kept that same small-outfit dedication to quality, straight seams, and hands-on service. Today, I pride myself on providing clear answers, showing up on schedule, and delivering flawless finishes on every deck, bathroom, and renovation we touch. We are the general contractor that exceeds expectations, every time.
When I'm not on the tools, life is busy at home here in the valley with my wife of 12 years and counting, our three boys, our cats, and our dog.

Matt resurfaced our deck, removing the old cracked fibreglass surface and the old plywood that had been installed incorrectly. ... We were impressed with Matt's attention to detail: the seams and edges are all straight and flat.
