Do you take on small jobs and repairs?
Yes. Alongside larger renovations we take on home repairs, door and window work, drywall patches, flooring repairs and carpentry. If it's on your list, ask, and we'll tell you straight if it's something we can help with.
Do you do the work yourselves?
We handle the carpentry and much of the renovation work ourselves, and coordinate trusted subtrades for painting, drywall and other parts of a project when needed. Either way, you deal with us from start to finish.
How do you price a renovation?
We visit, talk through what you want, then price the labour, materials and time involved. You get a free, no-obligation quote before any work starts, and we'll flag anything that could change it along the way.
Can you help with design and materials?
Yes. We help with layout, materials and finishes, and we give honest advice on what's worth the money. We won't push you into more than you need.
Will my renovation need a permit?
Some do and some don't, depending on the work and where you live. Rules differ between the Cowichan Valley Regional District and municipalities like Duncan and Ladysmith, so we'll walk you through what your project needs before we start.
